WHERE WE ARE WORKING

Family Hub operates out of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in Southern Africa. Most of our work is currently based in Bulawayo which is Zimbabwe’s second largest city after Harare.

In Bulawayo we are working mainly in the community of Emganwini where we have connected with some families in the community. Emganwini is one of the high-density suburbs of Bulawayo. It is located about 12km, South West of the City along the road to the border town of Plumtree. The community is home to just over 40 000 residents. In spite of its sizeable population the infrastructure in this community is still very limited. There are only three public primary schools and one Secondary school. There is no Council clinic in the area. The privately run clinic that is there is very expensive and many residents walk about 5 km to the nearest council clinic in the suburb of Nketa.

This community has found a place in our hearts. Through the help of one of the local churches in the community we managed to connect with a few families.  Most of these families are headed by single parents or aged grandparents that are looking after their children or grandchildren. All of them are not working and are struggling to put food on the table. The Covid 19 pandemic has just made the situation worse for them. Our desire is to help these families by demonstrating practically the love of Christ.
